Welcome to Moon Kai, a luxurious oceanfront villa located on the best stretch of beach in Cayman Kai. Step off the villa's pool deck and onto a secluded beach with soft sand and barefoot water entry. Perfect for launching kayaks, or a refreshing dip in the water, you will love having a slice of paradise in your backyard!

The main house and optional coach house apartment can accommodate a total of 14 guests--12 adults max--across 5 expansive oceanfront king suites and a separate queen master suite in the coach house. Each king suite offers a full ensuite bath and private screened-in balcony so every guest has the chance to relax in style.

The 1,000 sq ft coach house offers a full kitchen, dining area, living area with a flat-screen TV, and a screened porch. Many of our repeat guests draw straws for this private guest house suite.

  • 36 feet of glass french doors will greet you with a view of the villa interior, as well as the infinity pool and the Caribbean Sea through the oceanfront sliding glass doors.
  • The spacious great room opens onto the screened porch and offers plenty of comfortable seating, indoor dining, and a full modern kitchen with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and bar seating.
  • Five spacious oceanfront king suites.
  • Each bedroom has a private oceanfront screened porch or balcony with table and chairs for morning coffee, reading, lounging, or getting some quick work done on your laptop in comfort and privacy!
  • Private carriage house offers a queen suite and additional full kitchen, living room and dining area.
  • Moon Kai offers travel-weary guests an interior elevator to the second-floor foyer and a wheelchair ramp to the right of the front steps for those in need--or anyone with heavy luggage to easily roll into the house.  
  • On the second floor, there is a TV Loft on the front of the house with comfortable seating for watching movies and two trundle/daybeds, which can sleep 2 small children (ages up to 12). This overflow space also has a large porch overlooking the courtyard, coach house and pergola.

Beach Notes

Cos Kai enjoys a beautiful barefoot white sand beach and northwestern sunset views facing the Stingray Sandbar.  One can walk barefoot all the way down to Starfish point about a mile away. 

The Kaibo is only 300 yards from the house and an excellent place to grab a morning coffee, casual lunch, or elegant dinner in their upstairs dining area.  The Kaibo also has a marina and is where many private charters will collect guests for private deep-sea fishing trips, snorkel safaris, or charters to Stingray City.

General Grand Cayman Beach Notes

All beaches in Grand Cayman are technically “public” since the Queen owns up to the high water mark and the shoreline quality behind your property may vary seasonally. Be advised that the beach or water entry behind your property may vary slightly from the images on our website because of the weather. The next-door beach is also always available for your use.

Ocean Debris & Sargassum Seaweed

Beaches in Grand Cayman may also experience floating ocean debris and sargassum weed seasonally. Sargassum is a generally harmless floating seaweed that has increased in frequency in recent years. Although sargassum is an unsightly nuisance, it is largely seasonal in summer. Our owners do make efforts to remove heavy sargassum and will have the beach raked prior to your arrival. 

Should sargassum weed be extremely heavy behind your property, we will reach out to the owner for alternative solutions which may include a partial refund or relocation. We try our best to work around mother nature.

Lower Occupancy Discounts

Owner offers lower rates for fewer guests:

  • Groups of 12 or fewer guests (10 adults max), not requiring the guest cottage over non-holiday nights, receive a $250 discount off the daily rate. 
  • The guest cottage will be locked off for the duration of your stay.

Occupancy Discounts are automatically applied against the full base rent when entering your dates and number of guests.

Additional housekeeping services can be purchased after booking in 3-hour time blocks. Scheduling may be coordinated with your property manager upon arrival.

Flexible Cancellation Options

Travel planning can be unpredictable right now with reopening protocols subject to change by the government. That’s why we have expanded our cancellation policy to provide you peace of mind should the pandemic upend your travel plans.

Within 60 days of your arrival, should there be no reasonable transport options to Grand Cayman or an unforeseen quarantine is required, you will have two options:

  1. Defer your trip up to 12 months from the planned arrival date with full payment credited towards a subsequent similar stay, or
  2. Request to cancel for a full refund of monies paid less a 3.50% cancellation fee.
